Comprising the 4-man team of MC (Yves ‘Easy Yves Saint’ Ozoude), DJ (Lucien ‘DJ Candlestick’ Barton) and producers (Todd ‘Christolph’ Louis and Winfrey ‘Free’ Oribhabor), The Niceguys come straight out of Houston, bit with a sound that expands on their southern roots, and then some. As influenced by Dilla, Mf Doom or Tribe as they are by UGK, Scarface and Screw, you may think that nice guys always come last, but the truth is tha these Niceguys are so ahead of the pack as to be guaranteed a top podium finish.
With polished production, performance and packaging, The Niceguys are serious about their craft and how they get perceived. For them the hip-hop game is a profession, and they are nothing but professional about it. The result is music that shines and expands, challenges you with its lyricism, moves you with its sounds and simply makes you stop and take notice, as seen most recently on debut album ‘The Show’.We caught up with Free from The Niceguys and asked him to rep the group through The Twelve, with a Houston flavor. Of course, he was nice enough to agree, stopping just long enough to make sure that the lead was still maintained.

12. Tell us why it's all love...
Because "love is life, so we won't die"
