We always strive to ensure that everything we do is as excellent in every detail as is possible. It’s important that our philosophy of it’s all love extends to he care and attention we put into our product because ultimately it is the clothes which speak more eloquently about us than we ever could.
But occasionally we surprise even ourselves with how happy we are with an item, and that is especially true of our recent collaboration tee with Overdoz, a graphic tee that, even if we do say so ourselves, is simply outstanding. The t-shirt uses an incredibly detailed and intricate hand-illustrated graphic on the front chest, created exclusively for Twelve Bar and Overdoz by artist Trenton Williams, with both Twelve Bar and Overdoz branding on the back at the neck.
Developed as a reflection and extension of the concept for Overdoz’s recent Rise of the DEST sellout show at LA’s Roxy, the tee is a statement on the creativity of Overdoz and their music, as well as an embodiment of their DEST philosophy, all rendered in intricate illustration. If you were at the show you’d have seen the tee in abundance across the stage and throughout the crowd, but also an on stage production based around the same graphic. The effect was a hip-hop show that simply blew away all competition, and a statement that Overdoz really are something special. We’re delighted to have played a small part, and delighted to have developed a tee for the show (and future shows) that was an instant classic the second it came off the presses.
If you know what is good for you you’ll cop one of these future collector’s editions now because once they are gone they are gone. We’ll always try to keep our designs fresh, exciting, innovative and the very highest of quality. But sometimes there is an added ounce of magic in the mix. We’re not sure what to call it. We think we’ll just call it the DEST.
