Unity Lewis a.k.a Young Precise is a welcome young voice in hip-hop today. From community organizing to gang violence, Unity promotes positivity and unification as the path to freedom, and the versatile, self-proclaimed ‘revolutionary gangsta’ brings the same coherence of message to his music. This includes his storming recent release, EP ‘Audio VeVe Part 1’. The EP is only the latest offering in a recording career that dates back to when Unity was only 13, with skills honed in LA and the Bay Area that earned him the title Young Precise, a recognition of his lyrical precision, clarity and directness of purpose.
With collaborative projects including sessions with Dead Prez, the Last Poets, and various other music and visual arts crews from the Bay Area including Street Scholars, Organized Elements, The Collectiv and Eklectyk Creative Media, Unity’s knack for bringing together the best in creative and socially on point mind is quickly bringing him to the attention of the masses. We reached out to Unity and asked him to unify his thoughts around The Twelve, which of course he did with his usual precision of purpose
