Outkastic Fantastic

So, it is finally here, and you must have checked it by now. Idlewild arrives with a bang and the dynamic duo from Atlanta drop another classic. No? Yes I've seen the reviews and seen the hating, but in my opinion it is another Outkast monster. Fine, the pair don't rap back to back too often. Did Phife and Tip on Midnight Marauders? More maybe, but don't be fooled into thinking that this isn't the sound of a group who are comfortable with their arrangement, knowing of their strengths and still at a creative high point, despite being 6 albums deep. I know that no Twelve Bar discerning types will be taken in with the reports of a drop in form, and will relish the innovation once more, as well as the familiar yet strangely elusive signature sound and styles. Intelligent, humorous, satirical, insightful, and delivered by still two of the best voices in hip-hop. And another Tribe comparison is possibly fitting, as I think that Outkast have every right to the claim of hip-hop's number one group. Think about it, and think how they consistently bring the goods. Commercial reviewers may well be disappointed. Good.
